Bikini costumes are slightly different than a trikini or one piece bikini costume and has been a classic costume piece in the samba wear after the 1950’s.  Bikini costumes trend came from colorful beach wear when woman would parade on the streets of Rio on hot summer days. Slowly the simple bikini set became highly desirable. Today a bikini costume is a must for any Sambista that would like to show their figure. Bikini costume have a top and bottom and it’s design might have a torso belt accessory.
